The Ghazi Attack

’ hit the screens on February 17. The Hindi version of the film collected Rs 2-2.25 crore on Saturday at the domestic box-office, according to a report on boxofficeindia.com. The film is bilingual and also released in Telugu.

The producers of ‘The Ghazi Attack’ too released their figures, which quote that the film’s Hindi version earned Rs 2.25 crore on Saturday and it has collected a total of Rs 5.25 crore on Day 2. They quoted their two-day collections (inclusive of all the versions) as Rs 9.50 crore.

The ambitious project stars Rana Daggubati, Taapsee Pannu, Kay Kay Menon, Rahul Singh and Satyadev Kancharana. The film is based on the mysterious sinking of PNS Ghazi during the 1971 Indo-Pak War. The film which is said to be India's first war-at-sea film, narrates a true tale of the courage and patriotism of the Indian Navy. It has been directed by Sankalp Reddy.

Bollywood’s megastar Amitabh Bachchan lent his voice for the Hindi version of the film while South superstar Chiranjeevi lent his voice to the Telugu version.

‘The Ghazi Attack’ released alongside two Bollywood releases ‘Irada’ and ‘Running Shaadi’. Interestingly, Taapsee Pannu features in both ‘Running Shaadi’ and ‘The Ghazi Attack’.
