Thank You For Coming box office collection day 3: Bhumi Pednekar, Shehnaaz Gill starrer struggles with Rs 1.67 crore

Thank You For Coming is facing a tough time at the box office. The film released on October 6, along with Akshay Kumar starrer Mission Raniganj.
Bhumi Pednekar, Shehnaaz Gill, Dolly Singh, Kusha Kapila and Shibani Bedi starrer Thank You For Coming earned Rs 1.06 crore on its opening day. The film witnessed slight increase in numbers over the weekend, earning Rs 1.56 crore on Saturday and Rs 1.67 crore on Sunday.At the end of its opening weekend, Thank You For Coming stands at a total score of Rs 4.29 crore, reports Sacnilk. The film is expected to earn another Rs 85 lakhs on Monday. Meanwhile Mission Raniganj has performed slightly better and earned Rs 12 crore in three days.
Directed by Karan Boolani, Thank You For Coming also stars Pradhuman Singh and Karan Kundrra, while Anil Kapoor essays an entertaining cameo in the movie.
Speaking about the coming of age drama, Karan had told PTI, “For me, a good story always makes the cut. If one has made a film with honesty and integrity it will find its audience. We have to stop viewing films as ‘female-led’ or ‘women-oriented’. A good story will always connect and will find its audience. While at the surface, the film talks about a woman’s pleasure, through the course of the film we have touched upon various subjects. I’ve worked very closely with Radhika and Prashasti, understand what is the core of their story and found a way to protect and empathise (with) it.”
Ahead of its theatrical release in India, Thank You for Coming premiered at the 46th 2023 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in the Gala Presentations section.
