Thalapathy Vijay is one of the biggest icons of not only Indian Cinema, having concentrated on Tamil Cinema mostly, and delivering blockbusters after blockbusters like Theri, Thuppakki, Mersal, Bigil, Sarkar and many more. He is on the final lap of his acting career, as he plans to get into politics full time. The man has achieved everything out there one can achieve, but one fort that he hasn't been able to conquer till now is the Hindi belt. His penultimate film The Greatest of All Time ( GOAT) is trailing his last released film Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Leo: Bloody Sweet in a big way.


GOAT in its two week run, was able to mint only Rs 14.85 crore, which was about Rs 8.3 crore short of Leo: Bloody Sweet, which had collected Rs 23 crore. But on the occasion of National Cinema Day, GOAT received tremendous amount of love from the Hindi audience for the Friday collection, as it saw a 100 % jump in its collection over Thursday. On Friday, the film minted Rs 50 lakh as compared to Rs 25 lakh on Thursday, thus taking the Hindi collection of the film to Rs 15.35 crore.


As a whole, the film minted Rs 2.4 crore, taking the overall collection to Rs 234.35 crore making it one of the biggest films of Vijay’s career.

Vijay’s last film is going to be directed by H Vinoth. The film is tentatively titled Thalapathy 69, and the makers released a poster for the film with the caption “ The torchbearer of Democracy'.


The Greatest of All Time, features Vijay in a dual role and a star-studded cast of Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, and Meenakshi Chaudhary.
