After the success of 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani' last year, Shahid and Kriti's film was the first love story to hit the big screens this year. Despite high expectations, fueled by its music, dance videos, and the chemistry between the leads, the film failed to resonate with audiences, particularly in the interiors, which often play a crucial role in a film's success. While the film managed to collect Rs 44.35 crore in the first week, in its second week the film earned Rs 21.65 crore, and in its third week the film had added another Rs 9 crore into its kitty, taking the total collection of the film to Rs 75.40 crore.

'Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya' is currently facing relative competition from Yami Gautam starrer Article 370, which is currently enjoying a strong momentum at the box office and has minted around Rs 29.40 crore in four days. The next major release for the industry is Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan’s Shaitaan, releasing on 8th March.
