Ajay Devgn’s most ambitious project, ‘Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior’ also marked his 100th film in Bollywood. Ever since the first day of its release, the historical saga has set the cash registers ringing at the box-office.

After becoming the first ever Ajay Devgn film to collect Rs 116 crore in one week, the movie went on to collect Rs 70.25 crore in the second week.
This is reportedly more than all films of 2018 and 2019 except Shahid Kapoor starrer ‘Kabir Singh’ and
ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘Sanju’. The reports also added that the third Friday will determine the lifetime business of the film and it does have a shot at the Rs 250 crore nett mark depending on the drop on Friday.
Apart from Ajay,
Kajol and Saif, the film also stars Sharad Kelkar, Luke Kenny, Neha Sharma and Devdutta Nage and even they have delivered a stellar performance on the celluloid. 'Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior' has joined the likes of Ajay's previous films 'Golmaal Again', 'Total Dhamaal', 'Singham Returns', 'Golmaal 3' and 'Bol Bachchan' which have crossed the Rs 100 crore mark in the domestic circuit.
The film that released on January 10, 2020 locked horns with
Meghna Gulzar’s ‘Chhapaak’ starring Deepika Padukone. The movie failed to impress the audience and has been left behind at the box-office.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Ajay Devgn has kick-started the shooting of ace South filmmaker SS Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’. The movie also stars Alia Bhatt in pivotal role. Alia and Ajay will be teaming up with the director for the first time and that has undoubtedly made the film one of the most sought-after films of the year.
