'Swatantrya Veer Savarkar' box office Day 3: Randeep Hooda's directorial debut scores Rs 5.90 crore weekend

Randeep Hooda's latest venture, 'Swatantrya Veer Savarkar,' witnessed modest growth at the box office on its third day of release. After making a box office debut with Rs 1.05 crore, the film experienced a gradual uptick in numbers over the weekend.

According to reports from sacnilk.com, the film's collections doubled on its first Saturday, reaching an estimated Rs 2.25 crore. Although Sunday's figures didn't witness significant growth, the film still managed to amass approximately Rs 2.60 crore on Day 3. 'Swatantrya Veer Savarkar' maintained an overall Hindi occupancy of 29.60%.

Directed by Randeep Hooda himself, who also stars in the titular role, the film rounded off its weekend collections with an estimated total of Rs 5.90 crore.



Additionally, the film garnered an extra Rs 50 lakh from overseas markets, bringing its overall collections to an estimated Rs 6.04 crore. Having hit theatres on March 22, 'Swatantrya Veer Savarkar' shared the box office arena with 'Madgaon Express' and the Tollywood film 'Om Bheem Bush.' In this box office clash, Randeep Hooda's starrer ranked third, registering the lowest collection. 'Madgaon Express' secured Rs 7.21 crore, while 'Om Bheem Bush' closely followed with Rs 6.64 crore.



Made on a modest budget of Rs 20 crore, the film still has ample opportunity to thrive at the box office, especially if it maintains momentum during the weekdays. The extended weekend, coupled with the Holi holiday, could potentially bolster the film's overall earnings.

Featuring Ankita Lokhande alongside Randeep Hooda, the film chronicles the journey and struggles of freedom fighter Veer Savarkar and his significant contribution to India's independence.
