Stree 2 Box Office Day 35: Shraddha Kapoor starrer slows down to collect just Rs 2 crore

Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao led Stree 2’s dream run seems to be finally taking a breather at the box office over the fifth week, as with each passing day, its collection is dropping. It has already become the second biggest Hindi film of all time, second only to Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan and would be hoping to beat King Khan by the end of September.



Stree 2, in its fifth weekend minted Rs 15.5 crore, and crashed on Monday to collect just Rs 3 crore, which was a 55 % drop from its Sunday collection. On Tuesday the film dipped to Rs 2.5 croe, and on Wednesday, it dropped to Rs 2 crore, as per early estimates by Sacnilk, thus taking the overall collection of the film to Rs 562.35 crore. It now requires less than Rs 20 crore to beat SRK’s Jawan for the top spot, which had minted Rs 582.31 crore in Hindi, while across languages, its total collection is Rs 640.25 crore. .


The sequel to the 2018 hit film has been in the theaters for more than a month, and by now most of the theater going audiences have already seen the film, including repeat audience. At this point, the audiences are looking for something new and exciting. With Devara starring NTR Jr, Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor releasing this week, which will be followed byAlia Bhatt’s Jigra and Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri’s Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video on Dussehra, the dream run for Stree 2 will face some resistance .



Stree 2 also features Abhishek Banerjee, Aparshakti Khurrana, and Pankaj Tripathi, with special appearances by Varun Dhawan, Akshay Kumar, and Tamannaah Bhatia. The makers are considering a spin-off focused on Shraddha Kapoor’s character, exploring the backstory of Stree.
