Rajkummar Rao starrer ‘Srikanth’ continues its dream run at the box office. Even on the second Monday, it minted about Rs 1.5 crore, as per early estimates by Sacnilk. Srikanth is a biopic of visually challenged MIT graduate businessman Srikanth Bolla. In many parts of the country, it was a holiday due to the Lok Sabha elections in the fifth phase, and this would have helped the film in key markets like Mumbai to earn a respectable total. Over the second weekend, the film had minted about Rs 8.25 crore, and the total collection of the film now stands at Rs 27.60 crore.
With Srikanth, in just 11 days, Rajkummar has beaten the lifetime collection of his last four films like Bheed ( Rs 2.03 crore), Hit: The First Case ( Rs 9.29 crore), Badhaai Do ( Rs 20.62 crore) and Roohi ( Rs 23.25 crore)
Rajkummar was in Mumbai on Monday, as he stepped out to cast his vote in the fifth phase of Lok Sabha elections in the country. He was later spotted with his co-star of his upcoming film Mr and Mrs Mahi, Janhvi Kapoor, attending the Ganga Aarti at the Dashaswamedh Ghat in Varanasi. The actor will be staying back in Varanasi as he begins shooting for his next film ‘ Bhul Chuk Maaf’ with Wamiqa Gabbi. The flick is backed by Dinesh Vijan.
