Starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Bhumi Pednekar in the lead roles, 'Sonchiriya' which tells the tales of dacoits of the Chambal valley continued with its dull collection at the box office. The Abhishek Chaubey directorial has opened to massive positive reviews from the critics and the audience alike. However, the film could not fare well at the ticket counters. The film which released on March 1 clashed with Laxman Utekar's romantic comedy 'Luka Chuppi', starring Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon.

According to the latest report on the Boxofficeindia.com, on Monday, the film has managed to rake in a total of Rs 80 lakh on its fourth day at the box office. The film has managed to collect a total of Rs 4.30 crore in four days at the box office.

'

Sonchiriya

' revolves around Lakhna (Sushant Singh Rajput) and Man Singh (Manoj Bajpayee) leading a bunch of bandits, struggling to make a decision whether to surrender to the government. It showcases a small town ruled and dominated by dacoits, where multiple gangs fight to attain power in the region. Bhumi Pednekar plays Indumati, who saves a minor rape survivor from the villagers.

The dacoit drama is set in the 1970s and is extensively shot in the valleys of Chambal. Directed by Abhishek Chaubey and produced by Ronnie Screwvala, 'Sonchiriya' also stars Manoj Bajpayee, Ashutosh Rana and Ranvir Shorey among others.
