Sitaare Zameen Par box office collection Day 3: Aamir Khan’s film falls short of Rs 60 crore mark on opening weekend

According to early estimates on Sacnilk, Sitaare Zameen Par earned Rs 29.00 crore (India net) on Sunday, Day 3. This brings its total weekend collection across all languages to an estimated Rs 59.90 crore net, just under the Rs 60 crore benchmark that many industry trackers had anticipated it would cross.
The film opened with an estimated Rs 10.7 crore on Friday and saw a significant jump on Saturday, collecting Rs 20.2 crore. Over the first two days, the Hindi version contributed an estimated Rs 30.6 crore out of the total Rs 30.90 crore India net.
