According to the report on BoxOfficeIndia.com, the film has collected Rs 20.50 crore approximately.

The report further states that the film has done excellent in Maharashtra followed by Gujarat.
The audience has given a thumbs up to Ranveer and Sara Ali Khan's on-screen chemistry. Reportedly, the film is the biggest Ranveer Singh opening ever and even overtook 'Padmaavat' by around Rs 2.50 crore nett.
The film's story revolves around the central character, a corrupt cop Sangram Bhalerao, played by Ranveer, and how after a tragic event he chooses the right path.
Sara Ali Khan is the female lead and Ranveer's love interest in the film. The film also stars Sonu Sood,
Siddharth Jadhav and Ashutosh Rana in pivotal roles. This is the first time Ranveer and Rohit have collaborated for a film. 'Simmba' also marks the first collaboration between Karan Johar and Rohit.
Ajay Devgn has a special appearance and will reprise his role as Bajirao Singham while Akshay Kumar will be seen as Inspector Suryavanshi in the film. 'Golmaal' team has also made their way into the movie.

Meanwhile, when Ranveer was asked about his wife Deepika Padukone's reaction to the film he said that she is proud of him and the director. Adding to Ranveer's comment, director Rohit Shetty said that Deepika was thrilled and happy.
The soundtrack of the film has been composed by Tanishk Bagchi, Lijo George - DJ Chetas and S. Thaman. Songs like 'Aankh Marey' and 'Aala Re Ala' have been a huge hit.
The film is helmed by none other than, Rohit Shetty.
