Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan Movie Review : Ayushmann and Jitendra steal the showAccording to the Box Office India report, the film has only excelled in Delhi and is facing a tough time in Mumbai, Pune and Kolkata. 'Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan' opened at Rs 9 crore on Friday and did a splendid business on the weekend but failed to keep up with the momentum through the week. The report also suggests that the sensitive subject of the film has impacted its run in the domestic circuit.
Talking about it in an exclusive interaction with ETimes, Ayushmann opened up about the challenges he faced while filming 'Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan'. He said, "No challenges as such. Of course, the biggest challenge was to play a homosexual guy being a heterosexual guy. But again, as an actor, you should be prepared for anything. The biggest high for an actor is that it is going to be a case study in Indian cinema that this kind of a film where people will be going out with their families to watch a film which is based on homosexuality."
The film which released along with
Vicky Kaushal's horror flick 'Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship' saw an epic clash at the box office but 'Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan' ended up on the upper side. With
Taapsee Pannu's 'Thappad' releasing today, both the films are going to face tough competition in the domestic circuit.
