'Shaitaan' box office collection Day 7: Ajay Devgn starrer storms past Rs 100 Crore mark in first week at worldwide box office
It took just a week at the box office for Ajay Devgn's 'Shaitaan' to shoot past the Rs 100 crore mark at the worldwide box office.
The thriller, directed by Vikas Bahl and featuring an ensemble cast including Jyothika, R. Madhavan, and Janki Bodiwala, has been captivating audiences nationwide, culminating its 7-day run with a remarkable Indian collection of Rs 80 crore nett. The film recorded a substantial gross collection of Rs 87.55 crore, firmly establishing itself as one of the most successful Bollywood releases of 2024.
'Shaitaan' boasted an overall 12.68% Hindi occupancy on Thursday, March 14, 2024.
Venturing into the international market, 'Shaitaan' continued its triumphant streak, garnering an estimated Rs 20.45 crore overseas. The film's domestic earnings coupled with the international revenue, the film's overall total now stands at an impressive Rs 100 crore.
These box office collections see 'Shaitaan' swiftly ascending to become one of Bollywood's highest-grossing films of 2024, securing a position among the top three earners. Trade pundits anticipate that if the film maintains its current momentum, it could surpass Shahid Kapoor's romantic comedy 'Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya', currently occupying the second spot.
Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone's 'Fighter' currently occupies the number 1 spot as the highest-earning film of 2024.
'Shaitaan' will face some competition at the box office this weekend with the release of the Sidharth Malhotra starrer 'Yodha'.
