Sam Bahadur stays constant on Tuesday collects Rs 1.50 crore: total collection nears Rs 80 crore

Despite facing tough competition from Ranbir Kapoor's "Animal," Vicky Kaushal's "Sam Bahadur" emerges as an unexpected hit of the year. In its third week, the film had a remarkable run, earning almost Rs 12.25 crore over the weekend and pushing its total collection past Rs 75 crore.After a fall on Monday while recording just Rs 1.6 crore, the film on Tuesday stayed pretty constant with collecting Rs 1.50 crore as per Sacnilk, taking the total collection of film to Rs 79.80 crore. At the 18 day mark, Vicky’s first hit of the year Zara Hatke Zara Bachke with Sara Ali Khan was at Rs 59.67 crore, ending its run in the country with a total collection of Rs 88.35 crore in its 7th week. Now it would be interesting to see if Sam Bahadur is able to beat the numbers of zara Hatke Zara Bachke given that two massive films in Salaar: Part 1- Ceasefire and Dunki are releasing in the next few days and both are having massive showcasing to cash on the Christmas holidays.




"Sam Bahadur," depicting the life of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, was produced with a reported budget of Rs 55 crore, targeting a lifetime total surpassing Rs 85 crore. Currently the single screen owners are fighting it out with the makers of Dunki over screen sharing numbers with Salaar but they would be more than happy to make place for Sam Bahadur as with the film in 3rd week, cinema owners have a higher share from ticket sales as compared to first two weeks.


Vicky plays a special role in Shah Rukh Khan and Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki, he has also begun training for his next film Chhava with Laxman Utekar. This one is inspired by the life Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
