Salman Khan’s action-packed entertainer Sikandar is struggling at the North American box office which for the longest time has been a stronghold of Hindi and Telugu films. Even in India, Sikandar has been struggling to cross the Rs 100 crore mark. In its seven day run the film has earned Rs 97.5 crore , which has turned out to be the second lowest opening for a Salman Khan film over the past decade. The lowest being his Pooja Hegde starrer Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan.

Which aspect of Sikandar do you think contributed most to its box office performance?
Directed by AR Murugadoss, Sikandar marked Salman's return to mass-action territory for Salman Khan. The film also starred Rashmika Mandanna , Kajal Agarwal and Sharma Joshi in pivotal roles. The journey ahead for the film looks difficult, at the point the film looks primed to cross Rs 12 crore mark in the territory. But the fall in the numbers suggest that despite the weekend the film has very little scope to turn profit in the territory. Salman is slated to team up with Sanjay Dutt for a rural actioner which has been titled as Gangaram while his fans have been running a campaign on social media requesting to drop the film.
