The film had a historic weekend and crossed the Rs 80 crore mark just within its first three days. There's been so much craze surrounding the movie, that there was a huge jump in the Sunday numbers. As the film continues to woo the audience, it is expected that 'Saiyaara' will remain steady even on Monday and that will be a huge factor in deciding the upcoming week trend of the film.

Even Salman Khan's 'Sikandar' had failed to cross Rs 100 crore in its first four days. This weekend total of 'Saiyaara' has surpassed the first weekend collection of many big movies this year. There’s just positive word of mouth surrounding the movie and as per Box Office India, it has done an unthinkable business in some mass centres of North, Bihar, West Bengal and Rajasthan and CI. Usually, it’s only movies which do well in multiplex and single screens both, which manage to get those numbers and shockingly, ‘Saiyaara’ isn’t just appealing to the youth at multiplexes in big cities but also small centres. That perhaps has got to do with the film’s music and the ‘Aashiqui 2’ nostalgia which the film is bringing. Many are also feeling that this one could just be ‘Aashiqui 3’. Moreover, just as the reels of the audience watching the film in theatres, is going viral, people are more intrigued to know what it is about. Apart from the word of mouth, good music, it's also this unique marketing strategy which seems to have worked in the film's favour.
Day wise collection of the film:
Day 1 [1st Friday]₹ 21.00 Cr-
Day 2 [1st Saturday]₹ 25.00 Cr
Day 3 [1st Sunday afternoon]₹35.75 Cr
