'Saiyaara' box office collection Day 22: Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda starrer off to slow start on 4th Friday; film's total crosses Rs 310 crore

Mohit Suri's musical romantic drama “Saiyaara” has entered its fourth weekend at the box office, and while the collections are beginning to slow down, the film’s historic run is far from over.

According to early estimates by Sacnilk, the film earned around Rs 1.65 crore net on its fourth Friday. This marks a noticeable dip from its consistent Rs 2 crore daily collections during Week 3. If the final tally for Friday doesn’t touch that Rs 2 crore mark, it will officially be the film’s lowest Friday collection to date.

Box Office Performance So Far

“Saiyaara” opened with a bang, collecting Rs 172.75 crore in Week 1, followed by a strong Rs 107.75 crore in Week 2. Its third week saw a sharp slowdown, bringing in approximately Rs 28.25 crore. With Friday’s numbers added, the film’s net domestic total now stands at an estimated Rs 310.40 crore. This makes it the highest-grossing love story in Indian cinema history.

Tough Road Ahead

The romantic drama has been performing well despite intense competition from the mythological blockbuster 'Mahavatar Narsimha'. However, with 'Son of Sardaar 2' and 'Dhadak 2' now in cinemas, the battle for screen space is heating up. The real test will come this Thursday, when Rajinikanth’s 'Coolie' and the Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR's spy action flick 'War 2' hits theatres.

Industry Impact

Filmmaker Neeraj Pandey reflected on the film’s success and its potential to shift industry trends.

“Previously, there was a notion that newcomers are unable to deliver huge hits in the industry; but the unexpected success of Saiyaara has challenged that belief. With the prevalent follow-the-crowd mentality, now everyone will start looking for a love story, and everyone will start looking at new faces,” Pandey said to IANS.

Aneet Padda’s Heartfelt Note to Fans

Leading lady Aneet Padda expressed her gratitude in an emotional Instagram post, sharing stills from the film and writing, “The daze is wearing off and all I want to say is that I love you. I don’t know you. But I know that I love you… If it makes you laugh, or cry, or remember something you thought you’d forgotten, if it makes you feel a little less alone — then maybe that’s what I’m here for. And I’ll keep trying… Because I love you.”
