RAW' adds to the number of movies actor John has starred recently which is based on nationalistic themes. The film is set against the backdrop of the India-Pakistan war of 1971.
The film which hit the screens on April 5 had opened to mixed reviews.

The plot of the film revolves around a bank cashier (played by John) who is recruited by India’s foreign intelligence agency - the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW). He operates as a secret agent in PoK (Pakistan occupied Kashmir) during the events leading up to the 1971 Indo-Pak war which led to the liberation of Bangladesh.
The film also stars
Jackie Shroff, Mouni Roy, Raghubir Yadav, Sikander Kher and Suchitra Krishnamoorthi in pivotal roles.
