The re-release of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Aditya Roy Kapur, and Kalki Koechlin, continues to shine at the box office. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, it entered the ₹200 crore club on Thursday, earning Rs 12.50 crore in its first week, just shy of Tumbbad's re-release record of Rs 13.15 crore.
During its original run, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani earned Rs 188.50 crore. With its re-release Week 1 collection of Rs 12.50 crore, the film entered the Rs 200 crore club, reaching Rs 201.10 crore. Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani now ranks as the fourth-biggest hit of Ranbir Kapoor's career, following Animal, Sanju, and Brahmastra: Part One - Shiva. Ranbir will next be seen in Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayan, while Ayan Mukerji is currently working on War 2 alongside Hrithik Roshan, NTR Jr., and Kiara Advani. Meanwhile, Deepika Padukone is on a break from films following the birth of her daughter, Dua. Aditya Roy Kapur is occupied with his upcoming web series, Rakht Brahmand, co-starring Ali Fazal, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, and Wamiqa Gabbi.
