With three new releases - Phone Bhoot, Mili and Double XL - in theatres this week, the collections of Akshay Kumar starrer Ram Setu and Ajay Devgn starrer Thank God witnessed a huge dip at the box office. The three new releases did not rake in impressive moolah either. So all in all it was a pretty dull Friday at the cinemas.

Akshay Kumar, Jacqueline Fernandes and Nushratt Bharuccha starrer Ram Setu witnessed a 50% drop in collection as compared to Thursday. The film collected Rs 85 lakhs nett on its second Friday, reports Box Office India. This takes the total collection of Ram Setu to Rs 65 crore nett.

On the other hand, Ajay Devgn, Siddharth Malhotra and Rakul Preet starrer Thank God saw a bigger drop of 75% on its second Friday. The film collected Rs 25 lakh and ended up with a total of Rs 31.50 crore nett in 11 days.

Meanwhile, Ram Setu has invited yet another controversy as a historian is reportedly threatening legal action against the makers. According to reports, Ashok Kumar Kainth, who heads the department of Ramayan Research Committee in Sri Lanka, alleged that his research work and life story have been used in the film without his permission.
