‘Ram Setu’ box office collection day 5: Akshay Kumar starrer records a jump of 20 percent, rakes in Rs 7.25 crore
Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Ram Setu’ has made an impressive jump despite the holiday season of Diwali wearing off. The film is inching closer to Rs 50 crore with each passing day.
On Saturday, the film recorded an impressive jump of 20 percent and raked in Rs 7.25 crore on its fifth day at the box office. Inching closer to Rs 50 core, ‘Ram Setu’ now stands at a whopping total of Rs 47.50 crore nett, reports Boxofficeindia. This adventure drama recorded huge business in mass centres. This positive trend for ‘Ram Setu’ is expected to continue on Sunday as well, with Gujarat / Saurashtra markets contributing massively. Directed by Abhishek Sharma, ‘Ram Setu’ is an action adventure drama which features Akshay Kumar, Nushrratt Bharuccha, Jacqueline Fernandez and Satya Dev in pivotal roles. ‘Ram Setu’ marks Akshay Kumar’s fifth release year and his only hit of 2022. His previously releases - ‘Bell Bottom’, ‘Bachchhan Paandey’, ‘Samrat Prithviraj’ and ‘Raksha Bandhan’, all failed to work at the box office. Only ‘Ram Setu’ has managed to rake in a decent collection, recording Akshay’s biggest opening for this year.
Post ‘Ram Setu’, Akshay Kumar will be seen in ‘Selfiee’, ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ ‘OMG: Oh My God 2’, ‘Gorkha’ ‘Capsule Gill’ and ‘Soorarai Pottru’ remake.
