Akshay Kumar has finally struck a chord with the audience and has minted big with his festive release ‘Ram Setu’. Despite clashing with Ajay Devgn and Sidharth Malhotra starrer ‘Thank God’, Akshay’s adventure drama has emerged victorious.

On Friday, ‘Ram Setu’ recorded a drop of 30 per cent in collection and added Rs 6 crore nett to its total. Despite the downward trend, this entertainer has managed to maintain a steady stance at the box office. ‘Ram Setu’ stands at a total collection of Rs 40 crore nett, reports Boxofficeindia. Friday also witnessed a dip in the Gujarat circuit, where the film has been getting a lot of traction. With these figures, ‘Ram Setu’ has also earned a spot in the list of films with the highest opening weekend numbers of 2022. This year, Akshay Kumar released ‘Bell Bottom’, ‘Bachchhan Paandey’, ‘Samrat Prithviraj’ and ‘Raksha Bandhan’, all of which failed to work at the box office. Only ‘Ram Setu’ managed to rake in a decent collection and has emerged as Akshay’s biggest opening for this year.
Akshay Kumar has a busy line up ahead with ‘Selfiee’, ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ ‘OMG: Oh My God 2’, ‘Gorkha’ ‘Capsule Gill’ and ‘Soorarai Pottru’ remake.
