Rajkummar Rao’s dream run at the box office continues with his latest film Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video. This year, he has already delivered semi hits like Mr and Mrs Mahi and Srikanth, an all time blockbuster in Stree 2 and now, his latest film with Triptii Dimri is also doing decent business. The film has already crossed Rs 30 crore mark at the box office, and looks primed to cross Rs 40 crore mark.
Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video releases right after the mega success of Stree 2, and it would be wrong to compare both the films despite having Rajkummar as the lead. One was a sequel and had a tremendous buzz about it, while the other one was not only a fresh cast pairing of Rajkummar and Triptii, but also the first film for Rajkummar and director Raaj Shaandilyaa.
The film minted Rs 27 crore in the first week, and on its second Friday the film saw an almost 22% drop to collect just Rs 1.4 crore. But on Saturday, the film jumped by more than 60 % to collect Rs 2.25 crore as per early estimates by Sacnilk to cross the Rs 30 crore mark. The total collection of the film is Rs 30.65 crore. And with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, and Singham Again release being 10 days away, Rajkummar’s latest film can extend its decent run.
The actor will next be seen in an action avtaar with Maalik backed by Kumar Taurani and Jay Shewakramani.
