Riteish Deshmukh helmed and starrer historical magnum opus, 'Raja Shivaji' which released on Maharashtra Day 2026, has shattered every standing record for regional cinema, becoming the fastest Marathi-language production to cross the Rs. 50 crore India net milestone. With Salman Khan’s high-octane cameo appearance as Jiva Mahala still trending across social media and Sanjay Dutt’s menacing Afzal Khan drawing crowds, the film is now gearing up for a massive second weekend surge. With the second weekend now beginning, the Rs. 75 crore India net target is firmly in play and a strong Saturday and Sunday could take the film even further.
Early trendssuggest a strong hold on its second Friday. With zero major competition, the film is projected to witness a 50-60% jump on Saturday and Sunday, comfortably aiming for a Rs. 70–₹75 crore total by the end of Day 10.
This brings the film’s domestic net earnings to Rs. 54.53 crore, with gross collections to Rs. 64.64 crore, pending final end-of-day reports.

In seven days, Raja Shivaji had surpassed the lifetime collection of 'Lai Bhaari' (2014) within three days, set an all-time Marathi Monday record, recovered over 58% of its Rs. 100 crore budget, and delivered the greatest opening week in Marathi cinema history. The film debuted with a staggering Rs. 11.35 crore, the highest opening ever for a Marathi film. The first Monday, Day 4 saw the film collecting Rs. 5.60 crore, nearly doubling the previous Monday record held by 'Ved' with its Rs. 3.02 crore.
