’ starring John Abraham and Diana Penty saw an excellent jump in its box office collection on Saturday. Cashing on the strong word of mouth, the film enjoyed a surge of over 50 percent in its business on the second day as it collected Rs 7.25 crore, after registering an initial collection of Rs 4.75 crore on Friday, reported BoxOfficeIndia.com.

The film’s total earnings now stand at Rs 12 crore and if the trend continues, the film that has been in trouble over finding a release date for quite a while might just strike gold.

‘Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran’ is based on the nuclear bomb test explosions conducted by the Indian Army at Pokhran in 1998. The film, directed by Abhishek Sharma and written by Saiwyn Quadras, Sanyuktha Chawla Sheikh and Abhishek Sharma, also stars Boman Irani playing a crucial part.
