Anushka Sharma's horror flick 'Pari' had been making the right kind of noise before its release, but post-release the film has received a lukewarm response at the ticket window.
According to a recent report on BoxofficeIndia.com, the horror flick has minted in another Rs 1.25 crore, thus taking its second-weekend collection to Rs 2.95 crore and overall total collection to Rs 23.92 crore. 'Pari' has seen a drastic drop of nearly eighty percent in its second weekend as it collected a little under 3 crore nett.
The film marks the debut of director
Prosit Roy. Along with Anushka, it also stars
Parambrata Chatterjee, Ritabhari Chakraborty,
Rajat Kapoor and
Mansi Multani
in prominent roles. This is the third production venture by Anushka after 'NH10' and 'Phillauri'.
The plot of the film revolves around Arnab (Parambrata Chatterjee), who rescues a traumatised Ruksana (Anushka Sharma) found under mysterious circumstances in a secluded jungle. With nowhere to go and her life being in danger, he offers her refuge at his home until he discovers a different side to her.
