Sidharth Malhotra’s latest outing, Param Sundari with Janhvi Kapoor has slowly but steadily climbed the charts of his highest grosser list. The film is its first week minted Rs 39.75 crore, thereby surpassing the lifetime numbers of Hasee Toh Phasee (Rs 37.36 crore) and securing the sixth spot in Sidharth’s list of top Hindi net earners. The near 40 crore week 1 collection shows how the love stroy between a Punjabi guy and a Malayalee girl has found a connection with the audience and with today being the Onam holiday, one can expect to see a major spike in the collection . The film began it’s journey on a decent note where it collected Rs 7.25 crore on Friday, with collections jumping to Rs 9.25 crore on Saturday and finally hitting double figures on Sunday with Rs 10.25 crore collection.

But on weekdays the film has been on an uneasy ground, on Monday the film witnessed a major drop to earn just Rs 3.25 crore and on Tuesday thanks to massive discounts offered by the makers the collection jumped to Rs 4.25 crore. On Wednesday and Thursday the film collection Rs 2.85 crore and Rs 2.65 crore respectively, thereby taking the overall collection to Rs 39.75 crore. And in the process the film went past Sidharth 2014 release Hasee Toh Phasee co-starring Parineeti Chopra which was collected Rs 37.36 crore in it’s lifetime run and become his sixth biggest film.
