Anurag Kashyap's film '

According to a report on BoxOfficeIndia.com, the film has earned Rs 70 lakh on Day 5, thus taking its total to Rs 5.45 crore.

'Mukkabaaz' is a sharp social commentary on the multiple battles (literal and metaphorical) that Shravan (Vineet Kumar Singh), a common man who dares to have a spine, must fight on a daily basis for deserving to be treated with dignity and fulfill his ambition of becoming Uttar Pradesh's Mike Tyson.

The film once again marks Anurag Kashyap’s unconventional style of storytelling and it faces competition from Saif Ali Khan starrer '

Kaalakaandi

' and Vikram Bhatt's '1921' which released on the same date.
