'Mr and Mrs Mahi' advance box office: The Rajkummar Rao, Janhvi Kapoor starrer is expected to open at Rs 6-7 crore on Day 1, benefits from Cinema Lovers Day!

Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao starrer 'Mr and Mrs Mahi' is hitting the theatres today. The film is a love story, filled with human emotions in its core, with cricket as a huge backdrop. The trailer looked promising as it showed some good chemistry between a married couple who share a common love for cricket. As the film releases today, the advance bookings look decent as it has benefitted from the 'Cinema Lovers Day' offer.

According to the 'Cinema Lovers' Day' offer, the ticket price is Rs 99 for Friday and hence, around 200k tickets of the film have been sold already. According to Sacnilk, this advance sales of tickets on Day 1 is great due to this offer. Thus, 'Mr and Mrs Mahi' is expected to have a better opening than 'Article 370'. One can expected the movie to have an opening figure in the range of Rs 6-7 crore, according to these early estimates and advance sales. Of course, the current bookings may further add to it.

'Mr and Mrs Mahi' is not really facing any competition from any other movie as its a solo release. Meanwhile, the IPL has also ended now, so it has more scope to pull people into theatres and can do so if the weekend footfalls are good, through positive word of mouth.
The film directed by Sharan Sharma also stars Kumud Mishra, Zarina Wahab and Rajesh Sharma.
