Saturday did see the impact of that word of mouth, as the film saw a major jump of 40 %, accumulating Rs 3.45 crore, while Sunday was disheartening, as it saw a jump of just 10 %, collecting Rs 3.83 crore. All eyes were on Monday as it would decide the fate of the film, and one can say the film will have a difficult run at the box office. Though it still has more than a week in hand as Fighter only releases on January 25, but films like Hanu Man, Animal etc are still running and audiences might prefer them over this one.
The film revolves around Albert (played by Vijay) and Maria (portrayed by Katrina Kaif), two strangers whose paths unexpectedly intersect, leading them into a whirlwind of unfortunate circumstances. In classic Sriram Raghavan fashion, 'Merry Christmas' promises a thrilling ride, keeping the audience on the edge of their seats as they try to anticipate the next moves of Albert and Maria.
