Directed by Amit Sharma, 'Maidaan' narrates the story of India's celebrated football coach Syed Abdul Rahim, who worked closely with the team from 1952 to 1962. After a promising opening of Rs 4.5 crore, 'Maidaan' has seen a few ups and downs in its collection. The film ended its first week with a business of Rs 28.35 crore. On Friday, 'Maidaan' added another Rs 1.40 crore to its total, which now stands at Rs 29.75 crore, reports Sacnilk. The film is struggling to cross Rs 30 crore at the box office, facing competition from 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan' and 'Crew'. Ajay led the team of 'Maidaan' which also starred Priyamani and Gajraj Rao in supporting roles.

'Maidaan' released on the occasion of Eid and clashed with Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff starrer 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan'. Both the films are raking in similar amounts everyday now. On its ninth day, 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan' added Rs 1.50 crore to its total, which is currently at Rs 51.40 crore.

Ajay Devgn will soon be seen in Neeraj Pandey's romcom, ‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’, and he also has Rohit Shetty's ‘Singham Again’ being readied for release later this year.
