Maidaan box office collection day 3: Ajay Devgn's film witnesses a big jump but remains below expectations, to earn Rs 6 crore

The Ajay Devgn starrer Maidaan witnessed a big jump of approximately 80 per cent in its collections on the third day of its release. However, despite this improvement, the overall earnings for the film remain below expectations.

According to Sacnilk, Maidaan is expected to earn an estimated net collection of Rs 5.50-6 crore. The substantial jump in numbers was crucial for Maidaan, considering its lackluster performance in the initial two days. The total collection for the movie after three days stands at just over Rs 15.50 crore net, indicating a slow start for this big-budget production.

To boost its box office performance, Maidaan will need to maintain or surpass this momentum on Sunday. Furthermore, a strong hold on Monday will be essential for the film to have a chance at achieving a respectable lifetime total.




Despite the challenges faced by Maidaan and Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff's Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, they will benefit from a relatively clear release calendar in the upcoming weeks. This gives them an opportunity to improve their collections if they can sustain their performance on Monday and beyond.



Directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma, Maidaan is a poignant portrayal of Syed Abdul Rahim's unwavering dedication to football, which brought tremendous pride to India. Ajay Devgn essays the role of Rahim, supported by a talented ensemble cast including Priyamani, Gajraj Rao, and Rudranil Ghosh.
