Ananya Panday wrapped up their first weekend at the box office with a poor collection.
The Hindi version of the film earned an estimated total of Rs 13.75 crore nett at the end of its first weekend. The film that opened to bad reviews, negative word of mouth and trolling online, saw a fall in collections on Sunday. The action flick raked in an estimated Rs 3.75 crore on its fourth day at the ticket windows.
This comes after the film earned an estimated Rs 1.25 crore on Thursday and followed it up with Rs 4.50 and 4.25 crore on Friday and Saturday.
According to a report on boxofficeindia.com, the collections reportedly fell owing to the India vs
Pakistan match that took place on Sunday. 'Liger' lost an estimated Rs 1.25 crore nett which could have set it up for a fair Rs 15 crore weekend.
The
Puri Jagannadh directorial did reasonable business over the first two days, but took a hit on Sunday owing to the cricket match.
Telugu dubbed versions of the film were also released in Hindi circuits which did an estimated business of around Rs 50 lakh nett with bulk of the business coming on Thursday.
The Tamil version also hit screens but resulted in little to no sizeable collections.
The four-day weekend business of the film in all formats across India was around Rs 35 crore nett.
