Kung Fu Panda 4 sees more than 100 % jump on Wednesday to collect Rs 2.65 crore

Jack Black is back as Po, after a gap of 8 years with Kung Fu Panda 4, and this one seems to be taking the world box office by storm. The film, in just two weeks of its release, has already minted US $ 200 million at the world box office, and the response in India is no different.
The film on Friday opened to Rs 2.25 crore, and saw a huge jump on Saturday to collect Rs 4 crore, and on Sunday it spiked again to collect Rs 5.25 crore, but the film on Monday dropped to just Rs 1 crore. On Tuesday, it spiked again to collect Rs 1.22 crore, but the film on Wednesday saw a humongous jump of more than 100 % to collect Rs 2.65 crore as per industry tracker Sacnilk. Of Rs 2.65 crore, 2 crore came from English version and Rs 40 lakhs from Hindi and remaining from Tamil and Telugu. The total collection of the film stands at Rs 16.37 crore.
The makers also recently launched a video of ace cricketer Hardik Pandya with Po - the lead character of Kung Fu Panda. It would be interesting to see the trajectory of the film from this point on, as though there aren’t many Hollywood films around, but with a couple of new Hindi films releasing on Friday, it might make things a bit difficult for the beloved Panda and his team.
This time around Jack Black has the company of Awkwafina, Bryan Cranston, James Hong, Ian McShane, Ke Huy Quan, Dustin Hoffman and Viola Davis.
