Kill, starring Lakshya, Tanya Maniktala, and Raghav Juyal in lead roles, directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat and backed by Karan Johar, Guneet Monga and Achin Jain has finally completed a month at the box office. And it has been a very consistent run for everyone involved.
It was able to withstand competition from huge films like Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD, Vicky Kaushal’s Bad Newz and Ryan Renolds and Hugh Jackman’s Deadpool & Wolverine, and still kept its head high.
The film in its first week, earned Rs 11.1 crore and in the second week, it added another Rs 6.78 crore. In its third week it added another Rs 3.8 crore. It was in the fourth week, that the film was able to add only Rs 1.75 crore. With each passing day, the film’s showcasing kept on reducing, and with limited screen count on its fifth Friday, the film earned just Rs 5 lakh, but on Saturday, the film witnessed more than 300 % jump to collect Rs 18 lakh as per early estimates by Sacnilk, thus taking the overall collection to Rs 24.13 crore.
A Hollywood remake of Kill is in pipeline, with rights for it being bought by John Wick’s director Chad Stahelski’s company. Raghav is currently seen in web show Gyrah Gyrah backed by same producers as Kill. On the other hand, Lakshya will also be seen in a web show which is backed by Shah Rukh Khan and is his son Aryan’s debut show as a director and showrunner.
