Kill Box Office: Lakshya and Raghav Juyal starrer earns Rs 6 crore over the weekend

5th July was going to be a heavy day at the box office, as two films were going to clash with Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD, one was Ajay Devgn and Tabu’s Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, and second was Karan Johar backed Kill, which stars Lakshya and Raghav Juyal. But as luck would have it, only Kill released that day and despite huge competition, the film managed to hold on to itself .


The film opened to a low number of just Rs 1.25 crore, but as word of mouth spread, it picked up on Saturday, to witness a collection of Rs 2.15 crore- a 70% jump. On Sunday as well, the film maintained its steady collection, and earned Rs 2.8 crore, thus taking the overall collection of the film to Rs 6.2 crore.


The film tells a story of NSG Captain Amrit Rathod, who takes on a group of goons headed by Raghav Juyal in a train who are trying to loot passengers. One of the passengers is Amrit’s love interest Tullika played by Taniya Maniktala.


Kill is considered to be one of the goriest films of Indian Cinema which has been awarded with an ‘A’ certificate by the censor board. The certificate has also limited the number of audiences who can watch the film. A Hollywood remake of the film is in the pipeline with the rights for it being picked up by John Wick’s director Chad Stahelski's company.
