Khel Khel Mein Advance Booking: Akshay Kumar starrer crosses 50 lakh mark

Akshay Kumar is hoping for a revival in his career with his latest film Khel Khel Mein, which also stars Fardeen Khan, Taapsee Pannu, Ammy Virk, Vaani Kapoor, Pragya Jaiswal, and Aditya Seal. Besides OMG 2 and Sooryavanshi, most films of Akshay since the pandemic havent worked at the box office, be it Bade Miyan Chote Miyan or Sarfira.



Khel Khel Mein is clashing with Vedaa and Stree 2 on the Independence Day weekend; till yesterday, the film has managed to earn just Rs 22.6 lakh. But this morning, the film received a considerable jump, and has crossed the 50 lakh mark for its first day. As per Sacnilk, Akshay Kumar starrer has till now sold more than 15000 tickets and amassed Rs 55.77 lakh. This jump assures that the opening of the film is going to be better than his last few films like Sarfira which opened to just Rs 2.5 crore. Akshay’s close friend John Abraham’s film Vedaa is only marginally ahead with Rs 56.88 lakh.


Khel Khel Mein is directed by Mudassar Aziz, who is known for films like Abhay Deol starrer Happy Bhaag Jayegi and Kartik Aaryan, Bhumi Pednekar and Ananya Panday starrer Pati Patni Aur Woh. Post Khel Khel Mein, Akshay’s next release is going to be Sky Force, which is currently slated to release on 2nd October, and he reportedly has a cameo appearance in Stree 2.
