'Kesari' box-office collection Day 12: The Akshay Kumar starrer war drama held strongly on its second Monday

Akshay Kumar started the year 2019 with another success in the line with his latest offering 'Kesari' starring alongside Parineeti Chopra. The film is continuing its superb run at the box office and has held strong on its second Monday. The Anurag Singh directorial has already crossed the Rs 100 crore mark at the box office and has witnessed the highest opening of the year. The film released on March 21 on the festival of Holi.

According to the latest report on the Boxofficeindia.com, on Monday, the film has managed to rake in a total of Rs 3.25 crore on its twelfth day at the box office.The film has managed to collect a total of Rs 128.25 crore in twelve days at the box office.
FYI, the film raked in a total of Rs 106 crore in its first extended week at the box office.
The plot of the film revolves around the historical figure Havildar Ishar Singh (played by Akshay Kumar), who led the 36th Sikh Regiment of the British Indian Army in the Battle Of Saragarhi, which was fought in 1897. The film tells the incredible story of 21 Sikh soldiers who fought valiantly against 10,000 Afghan troops.

Directed by Anurag Singh, the film also stars Parineeti Chopra, Mir Sarwar, Vansh Bhardwaj, Jaspreet Singh, Vivek Saini and Vikram Kochhar in supporting roles. The film was initially planned as a production collaboration between Salman Khan and Karan Johar and was announced in October 2017. However, Salman later quit the project.
