Jr NTR’s Devara clocks in Rs 50 crore in North America

Following the massive success of SS Rajamouli’s RRR with Ram Charan, Jr NTR’s latest release Devara has been well received not only in India but also in North America (United States and Canada). Over the past few years, the USA has become a significant market for Telugu films, thanks to the growing Telugu-speaking population in the country.

Devara, which also marks the Telugu debut of Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor, took a stupendous start at the North American box office, minting US $2.85 million just from its premiere shows. Now, at the end of 12 days, the film has collected a total of US $5,977,534 (Rs 50.1 crore), and by the end of the day, it is expected to cross the US $6 million mark. The film has already become Jr NTR's highest-grossing solo release. With a break-even point of US $5 million, the film is now comfortably in the green zone.

Jr NTR will next be seen in Aditya Chopra’s Spy Universe film War 2 alongside Hrithik Roshan and Kiara Advani, directed by Ayan Mukerji. The film is slated for release during the Independence Day weekend on 14th August 2025. Interestingly, Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao’s Stree 2 was also released on the same date in 2024 and went on to become the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time. With Hrithik and Jr NTR’s pairing, Aditya Chopra has truly planned a pan-India film that is poised to capture the attention of audiences nationwide.
