Jaat’s box office collections day 3: Sunny Deol’s action drama crosses the Rs 19 crore mark despite drop
Sunny Deol’s latest action-packed entertainer, ‘Jaat,’ continues its run at the box office with a steady, despite slowing, performance. After a powerful opening, the film has managed to earn a total of ₹19.22 crore at the domestic box office in its first three days.
Decent earnings
According to data from the Sacnilk website, ‘Jaat’ earned Rs 2.72 crore on its third day (Saturday), following a Rs 7 crore collection on Friday and Rs 9.5 crore on its opening Thursday. While the film saw a dip in collections with each passing day, it has nonetheless crossed the Rs 19 crore mark, which signals a decent start for a film driven largely by mass appeal and action-heavy sequences.
Day 3 sees a dip but steady turnout.
On Saturday, ‘Jaat’ witnessed an overall Hindi occupancy of 7.53%. Region-wise, Bengaluru led with 11% occupancy, followed by NCR at 9%, Pune at 8%, and Mumbai at 7%. The film is being screened in a large number of shows across key metros—813 in Mumbai and 1371 in NCR alone.
Star-studded cast
Directed by Gopichand Malineni, ‘Jaat’ features an ensemble cast including Sunny Deol, Randeep Hooda, Vineet Kumar Singh, Saiyami Kher, Regina Cassandra, and Jagapathi Babu.
ETimes review
We gave a solid rating of 3 stars out of 5 for the movie and called it a ‘brutal’ movie made for fans. Our review reads, “Jaat delivers exactly what it promises: a nostalgia-fueled action drama powered by its male leads and dialogue-heavy theatrics. But for all its sound and fury, it lacks the courage to push beyond its comfort zone. It’s a decent one-time watch for fans of old-school Deol-led actioners, but for anyone seeking innovation or depth, Jaat may feel like a missed opportunity wrapped in a thunderous punch.”
