Hindi Medium’, starring Irrfan Khan and Saba Qamar in lead roles, has shown a drastic change in its graph towards the second week. The film that had a below than average start at the box-office, collected Rs 7 crore (nett) over its third weekend, according to a report on Boxofficeindia.com. While it earned Rs 1.75 crore on its third Friday, the collections on Saturday and Sunday read Rs 2.50 crore and Rs 2.75 crore respectively.

With this, the total collection of the film stands at Rs 48.62 crore.
The Saket Chaudhary-directed film had a slow start at the ticket windows. However, the film picked up steadily owing to its good word of mouth and positive reviews. The satire narrates the struggles of a lower-middle class couple who aspire to get their daughter an admission in one of the best English medium schools of Delhi. In doing so, ‘Hindi Medium’ not only explores the Hindi versus English divide but also conveys the message to eradicate the tendency to pit one against the other.
