’ has maintained a strong hold at the box-office in its second week. The film collected an estimated Rs 1.75 crore on Monday, according to a report on Boxofficeindia.com.
The slice-of-life comedy collected an impressive Rs 23.25 crore in its first week and went on to make Rs 2.35 crore on its second Friday, followed by collections of Rs 3.75 crore and Rs 4.75 crore on Saturday and Sunday respectively. Monday’s collection thus takes its overall collection to an estimated Rs 35.85 crore.

Saket Chaudhary, the film is a story of thousands of Indian parents, who aspire to enrol their children in an English medium school. It not only explores the Hindi-versus-English divide but also conveys the message to eradicate the tendency to pitch one against the other. ‘Hindi Medium’ gained momentum at the box-office through good word of mouth post its release.
