, and Neha Dhupia, revolves around the story of a mother whose only purpose of her life is her son's well being. However, in the pursuit of achieving control over her life, she loses herself and her son in this relentless pursuit.

The film released on Friday and according to a report by boxofficeindia.com, the film opened to Rs 75 lakh approximately on its first day.

'Helicopter Eela' is based on the Gujarati play 'Beta, Kaagdo', written by Anand Gandhi and it was originally supposed to release on 7 September 2018. The release date was postponed to 12 October owing to director Pradeep Sarkar getting diagnosed with dengue in August.
