Kapil Sharma's much-awaited outing titled 'Firangi' that released this Friday received a lukewarm response at the ticket window.
The latest report on BoxofficeIndia.com states that the film collected as much as Rs 2 crore on day one of its release. His last film 'Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon' grossed a little under Rs 8 crore on day one, further states the report.
Set in 1921 pre-independent India, this limited budget period film is a languid love story served with a pinch of patriotism.
Helmed by Rajiev Dhingra, 'Firangi' also stars Ishita Dutta, Monica Gill, Kumud Mishra and Inaamulhaq.
