Vin Diesel’s Hollywood action flick ‘Fast & Furious 8’ opened at the Indian box-office with a collection of Rs 11 crore nett on Friday, according to reports on Boxofficeindia.com.
The film that is the eight instalment of the franchise enjoys a large fan following in the country, had an early start at the ticket windows, with the film collecting an estimated Rs 5.50 crore during Wednesday’s paid previews and Rs 9.25 crore on Thursday, followed by Friday’s gross collection of 11.25 crore.

According to reports, the total collection of the film thus stands at an estimated Rs 26 crore.

This is the first film in the ‘Fast & Furious’ franchise that will not feature actor Paul Walker, who passed away in a tragic car crash in November 2013.

Directed by F. Gary Gray, the film boasts a star-studded cast with actors like Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Charlize Theron, Helen Mirren, Michelle Rodriguez, Scott Eastwood, Chris 'Ludacris' Bridges and Kurt Russell.
