Starring the father-daughter duo of Anil Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor for the first time, director Shelly Chopra Dhar's 'Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga' is witnessing its collections drop down further at the box office. The film is based on the theme on homosexuality and also stars Rajkummar Rao and Juhi Chawla in the lead roles. The film did not see a good opening and couldn't manage to fare well on the weekdays as well.

According to the latest report by BoxofficeIndia.com, on Tuesday, the film has raked in a total of Rs 1.30 crore on its fifth day at the box office. The collections on Tuesday were 10% lower than that of Monday. The film has till now managed to collect a total of Rs 14.30 crore at the box office in five days.

The film has done a half decent business is US/Canada where the collections can go to $1 million. However, the overseas numbers are still not good as the film was not able to release in Gulf due to the content. Despite being a family film, the movie has faced rejection due to the subject on which the film is based.

The plot of the film revolves around the title character Sweety Chaudhary (played by Sonam Kapoor) who is in a homosexual relationship with a girl and goes on to reject several marriage proposals within her Punjabi family while hiding her identity as she tries to come out of the religious, cultural and societal barriers.

' is produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and also stars Akshay Oberoi and Regina Cassandra. The title of the film is derived from the popular romantic number of Anil Kapoor's 1994 film '1942: A Love Story'.
