Interestingly, the popularity of ‘Drishyam 2’ may pose a threat for this Friday’s release ‘Bhediya’. Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon’s horror drama has earned a low score in advance booking, thanks to the craze for ‘Drishyam 2’.
Helmed by Abhishek Pathak, this crime thriller is a sequel to 2015 release 'Drishyam', which was a remake of Malayalam film by the same name. The first part was helmed by late Nishikant Kamat. Ajay Devgn plays the role of a protective parent in this entertainer, while Tabu essays the role of (former Inspector General of Police) Meera Deshmukh. Calling it one of the toughest roles of her career Tabu had shared, "It's the complex of emotions that makes this role tough. There are a lot of issues she is going through as a mother (who lost her son) and she has to be true to her profession too. I don't think this character has received any love, people have hated her. It is unusual for writers to write characters like these where you cannot say she is good or bad."
