Doctor G box office collection Day 7: Ayushmann Khurrana starrer ends first week with Rs 19 crore collection

'Doctor G', the campus-drama starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Rakul Preet Singh, ended its first week at the box office, with a collection of Rs 19 crore nett.
According to reports on boxofficeindia.com, the film that has been maintaining a good hold at the ticket window, saw a minor drop in its collections on Thursday. The film that has been steady at the box offie with collections of Rs 1.50 crore (on Monday and Tuesday) and Rs 1.25 crore (on Wednesday), earned Rs 90 lak on Thursday, thus closing its first week's total with an estimated Rs 19 crore.

The film had good collections over the weekend considering results of other post-pandemic releases.It also managed to maintain its hold over the box office.
According to the report, the film saw a drop in collections owing to the release of the Hollywood superhero film 'Black Adam', starring Dwayne Johnson in the lead.

The Bollywood film is expected to rake in better numbers over its second weekend, and even beat the collections earned by Ayushmann's 'Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui' that collected around Rs 22 crore nett.
'Doctor G' received an 'A' certificate from the censor board. The film shows Ayushmann portraying the role of an aspiring orthopaedic surgeon who instead gets into studying gynaecology. Being the only male in a women-dominated department, there begins his humorous struggle to fit in.
