’ earned Rs 4 crore (nett) on its first day of release, according to a report on Boxofficeindia.com.
The film's producer released their box-office figures, which quoted that 'Commando 2' collected Rs 5.10 crore on Day One.

Much like its prequel that released in 2013, ‘Commando 2’ promises a lot of action and adventure with Vidyut performing some high-octane action stunts. The film, which also stars Adah Sharma and Esha Gupta in prominent roles, revolves around the issue of black money laundering in India.
With the ‘Commando’ franchise, the hunky actor is carving his niche as an out-and-out action star. In fact, Vidyut had even said how he does mind being stereotyped as an action hero. At the trailer launch of ‘Commando 2’, the 36-year-old actor said, “I would love to be known as an action hero. I don’t mind being categorised as an action hero.” He even added that he considers himself to be a mix of action heroes like John Abraham and Tiger Shroff.
