Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer 'Brahmastra' continues to fare well on its third tuesday as the film managed to collect Rs. 1.65 crore nett. With that, the film's overall total has come up to Rs 217 crore. It can be expected that the film touches Rs 220 crore over by the end of this Friday.
Owing to cinema day and the festive spirit of Navratri, there have been decent footfalls at the theatres and the film is expected to continue to fare well through this week.
Interestingly the film's strong business has mostly come from big cities like Mumbai and Delhi while the smaller circuits haven't performed that well. The film has crossed 60crore mark in Mumbai and Rs. 50 crore in Delhi.
Having said that, 'Brahmastra' might be expected to face some good competition from this week's release, 'Vikram Vedha' since the advance bookings of this Hrithik Roshan-Saif Ali Khan starrer seem promising.
Meanwhile, the makers of 'Brahmastra' have launched the 'Shiva theme' from the film today on Ranbir's birthday. Ayan Mukerji wrote on Instagram, "SHIVA THEME ������ Feels right to be launching this today on Ranbir’s/our Shiva’s Birthday… His theme from Brahmāstra! Fire. Intensity. Spirituality. Hope you enjoy it! ��"
One will have to see now if the occasion of Ranbir's birthday will add to the film's box-office further.
